Sanya Malhotra to make a special appearance in Varun Dhawan and Atlee’s ‘VD18’
Varun Dhawan, who is known for his versatile roles and energetic performances, is gearing up for his next big project with director Atlee. The film, which is tentatively titled ‘VD18’, is an action entertainer that will showcase Varun in a never-seen-before avatar. The film also features Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi as the female leads, and Rajpal Yadav and Sheeba Chaddha in supporting roles.
However, the latest buzz is that the film has one more actress in its star cast, who will be seen in a cameo role. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Bollywood actress Sanya Malhotra has been roped in for a special appearance in ‘VD18’. The report claims that Sanya, who had worked with Atlee in his previous blockbuster ‘Jawan’, agreed to do the cameo as a gesture of gratitude to the director.
A source close to the development told Pinkvilla that Sanya had a wonderful experience working with Atlee on ‘Jawan’, and no way could she turn down his offer. “She shot for her brief sequence with Varun in Bandra earlier this month,” the source added.
‘VD18’ is said to be a dramatic entertainer that revolves around Varun’s character, who is a police officer who goes into hiding to protect his daughter from his enemies. Keerthy plays his wife, while Wamiqa plays a journalist who helps him in his mission. The film is being produced by Murad Khetani and Priya Atlee, while Atlee is presenting it. The film is being directed by Kalees, who is a Tamil filmmaker known for his films like ‘Oru Pakka Kathai’ and ‘Kee’.
