House of the Dragon Season 2: Cast, Episode Count, Possible Release Date, Latest News

House of the Dragon, the prequel series to Game of Thrones, has been a huge hit on HBO and Sky Atlantic, drawing millions of fans into the Targaryen dynasty drama. Based on George R.R. Martin's Fire and Blood novel, the show explores the events leading up to and during the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons, when two rival branches of House Targaryen fought for the Iron Throne.

The first season of House of the Dragon introduced us to King Viserys I (Paddy Considine), his second wife Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke), his daughter and heir Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy), his son and rival claimant Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney), and their respective supporters and enemies. The season ended with a shocking twist that set the stage for the bloody conflict to come.
