Abar Proloy Trailer: ZEE5 Global to launch Raj Chakraborty’s first Bengali Web Series

‘Abar Proloy’ is a thrilling cop drama that revolves around the hunt for a notorious human trafficker who has been operating in the Sunderbans for years. The series brings back the popular character of Animesh Dutta, a special crime branch officer who was first seen in Raj Chakraborty’s 2016 film ‘Proloy’. Animesh Dutta is played by Saswata Chatterjee, who is known for his versatile roles in films like ‘Kahaani’, ‘Jagga Jasoos’, and ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’.

The series also features an ensemble cast of talented actors, including Gaurav Chakrabarty, Paran Bandopadhyay, Ritwick Chakraborty, Koushani Mukherjee, and June Maliah. The series promises to deliver a gripping story with high-octane action sequences, stunning visuals of the Sunderbans, and a powerful message about the social evil of human trafficking.

Saswata Chatterjee, who plays Animesh Dutta, said, “Animesh Dutta is a character that is very close to me. I was a little anxious about this change, but the confidence that Raj da, Saswata da, and my other co-stars showed in me, helped me do justice to my character. I am really eager to know how my fans will respond to this new ‘bad-boy’ version of me.”
