Mika Singh acquitted in molestation case

India singer Mika Singh has been accused of taking 'immoral benefits' by promising modeling and film work. A case was also registered with the Versova police station in July 2016 based on the complaint of a model.

Hindustan Times reports that Mika Singh was released from the case on January 19. Because the model told the court that she did not want to proceed with the case. However, the opposition had nothing to prove the allegations against the singer.

In her statement to the court, the woman said the incident took place one morning in July 2016 at Mika Singh's office. The woman also claimed that she and the singer had been good friends for nine years before the incident.

Narrating the incident, the woman told the court that on the morning of the incident, she went to Mika Singh's house. And there comes to know through the attendant that Mika Singh is not at home but in the studio. He then went to the studio. Go and see the studio door closed. There are no security guards. He entered through the window and found Mika Singh sleeping with two friends.

After that, the two quarreled over the opening of the studio. And in terms of words, Mika Singh raised his hands on the model. Then the woman dialed 100 and lodged a complaint against Meeker. Following the complaint of Mika Singh, Versova registered the case at the police station.

In her statement, the model further alleged that Mika Singh pulled her hair, hit her with a shoe, and also pulled her clothes during the altercation. Later, when questioned by Mika's lawyer in the court, the woman admitted that she had sent messages demanding Rs 5 lakh from Mika Singh. But it did not want to accept that it filed a false case in the name of Mika Singh due to non-payment of that money. Then the woman told the court that she no longer wants to take the case forward.
