Katakuti Web Series Review: In poor screenplay Raja Chanda First Web Series

 

It would be nice to say that Raja Chanda, a successful director of  Bengali commercial cinema, has won his first web series "Katakuti" by a landslide, but it is a pity that this cannot be said. The main reason is that the screenplay is quite loose (Arnab Bhowmik). Although Raja has made some changes, no reflection has come on the screen. The storyteller and screenwriter have maintained the trend of web series in the current market formula of murder, mystery, and thriller, but in many places, there is a gap in continuity as there is no consistency with reality. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like Raja Chanda ain't for me either. The series begins with a comedy wrap, but there was also a lack of luck.

The obscene words in the face of the bully or the police were really so necessary! The protagonist of the story Sourav Das's parents agrees to marry Manosi Sengupta under pressure. Paean Sarkar, sister of Manosi Sengupta.

The couple got married just a month apart. Manosi calls Sourav one evening to meet in private. But there Sourav discovers Manosi's mutilated corpse. Autopsy reports from police say Manosi was raped and brutally murdered. Then it was the turn of revenge. Katakuti game is played between the rapist and the murderer about how to rape three people one by one, who kills.

Raja Chanda has certainly brought innovation in the method of murder, as well as in the technique of showing the murder. Of course, there is a touch of his mature cinematic thinking. But it would have been better if we could have maintained the comedy style of the beginning. Murder and revenge are a little too dark. The rape scene also hits the head! Acting Sourav Das and Manosi Sengupta are both quite fluent. I will give extra marks to Sourav Das, to stay normal even in dramatic moments. Paean Sarkar in the role of girlfriend is sincere towards the character, especially in the last scene Paean Sarkar big surprise in this series. So in the Katakuti game, director Raja Chanda drew, to win he had to be on the verge of a stronger screenplay and a little more complex story. However, the "draw" in the first game of the series is no less.
