Kidnapping, gang rape, school student in Dinajpur, arrest 2
Police have arrested two people in a case of abduction and rape of a sixth-grade student in Biral Upazila of Dinajpur.
Sanu Ara (24) and Liton Hossain (30) of Munsipara village of the Upazila were arrested on Tuesday.
The arrested have been sent to Dinajpur Jail through the court today.
According to the girl's family, Sanu abducted the schoolgirl while she was going for tuition on Saturday afternoon. The woman later handed him over to Mostafa and Liton. The girl was taken to Dhaka bypass.
Biral Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Abdul Quader said police questioned Sanu on suspicion of involvement in the incident after the family lodged a complaint. Lytton was arrested on the basis of his information.
The girl's father filed a case against Sanu, Liton, and Mostafa at Biral police station on Monday night.
Police officer Abdul Quader said the victim had been rescued. Another accused in the case. An operation is underway to arrest Mostafa.
