Engineer wants to beat up engineer, Apu Bhai remanded
Yassin Arafat Apu, who was arrested in connection with the beating of a man who tried to cross the road while filming a road blockade in Uttara, has been sent to court for questioning.
The arrested Apu (20) is the son of Shahid Islam, a resident of Sonaimuri in Noakhali. He lives in the Goaltech area of Dakshin Khan.
Uttara East Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Adil Hossain said he was sent to Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Tuesday for three days in custody for questioning.
He told bdnews24.com that engineer Mehdi Hasan Robin was driving a private vehicle on Alaul Avenue in Uttara on Monday evening. He also had some friends with him.
"Apu and his associates were making ticks by blocking the road there. Robin blew the horn when he saw the road blocked. Enraged, Apu and his accomplices beat up his friends, including Robin. Robin and the other two were seriously injured. They had to sew on their heads. ”
He said Apu and an accomplice Nazmul, 21, were arrested after Robin's father filed a case with the police station alleging serious injuries in the incident.
He said they had been sent to court for a three-day remand.
