In Tangail's Mirzapur, his mother was hacked to death for not paying for drugs

The son has been accused of hacking his mother to death for not paying for drugs in Mirzapur, Tangail. The deceased was identified as Nayasundari Begum, 75, wife of late Abdul Majid of Kamarpara village under the upazila.



The incident took place at Kamarpara village in Bhaora union of the upazila on Tuesday (July 28). Meanwhile, after the incident, the locals arrested the killer's son Mahar Ali and handed him over to the police.

Locals said son Mahar Ali was addicted to drugs. Occasionally he would behave mentally unbalanced. His wife divorced him 7 years ago. In the morning Maher asks his mother for money to get drunk. At that time, his mother refused to pay Nayasundari. Later there was a quarrel between mother and son. At this time, the boy became angry and brought a pot from the kitchen and started beating his mother at random. He later died before being rushed to hospital after neighbors rushed to his mother's rescue. Later, the locals arrested Mahar Ali and handed him over to the police.

Mirzapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Gias Uddin said the body was sent to Tangail General Hospital for autopsy. Son Mahar Ali has been arrested in this incident.
